Dr. Kyriakos Kakavelakis

Dr. Kyriakos Kakavelakis is indeed a highly accomplished orthopedic surgeon. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Crete and specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital of Heraklion. His further training in Knee Surgery and Sports Traumatology took place at the University Hospital of Ghent and the Monica Clinic in Antwerp, Belgium, which are official training centers of the European Society for Sports Traumatology and Arthroscopy. In addition to his medical qualifications, Dr. Kakavelakis holds a master’s degree in Bioethics and is a doctoral candidate. He has also studied Physiotherapy at the TEI of Athens and Physical Education and Sports Science at the University of Athens 1. Professionally, he has worked at the Orthopedics and Sports Injuries clinic of Creta InterClinic in Heraklion, Crete. Currently, he practices in Limassol and Larnaca, Cyprus, and collaborates with the Mediterranean Clinic in Limassol. Dr. Kakavelakis has published numerous papers in recognized journals and has been a speaker at many conferences in Greece and abroad.
