The DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) technique is an advanced method of hair restoration that involves implanting hair follicles directly into the scalp with minimal handling and precision. It is a variation of the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method but incorporates a specialized tool, called the DHI Implanter Pen, to improve accuracy and results. Here’s how it works:
Hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area (usually the back of the head) using a micro-motor tool. This step is similar to the FUE method.
Unlike other methods, no pre-made incisions or channels are required in the recipient area. This reduces trauma to the scalp.
The extracted follicles are directly implanted into the recipient area using the implanter pen, which allows the surgeon to control the angle, direction, and depth of each hair follicle.
The implanter pen ensures natural-looking results by mimicking the natural growth pattern of the hair.
The DHI technique has gained popularity for its advanced technology and ability to deliver natural and long-lasting results, making it a preferred choice for many undergoing hair restoration.
The treatments are performed by Dr. Giorgo Vasiliou, Head and Neck Surgeon who is certified of attendance on Direct Hair Implantation by the London Hair Restoration Training Academy.
Only DHI ticks all the boxes!
